  1. Lise, the Food Policy working group of the Guelph-Wellington Food Round Table would like to invite you to a session to explore whether there’s an opportunity for a collective impact approach to developing a regional food strategy, Mon. Nov. 9th, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

May I email you an invite? If so, which email address should I use. Thanks!

  2. Good Afternoon Ms. Burcher,

I am writing on behalf of the Research Shop, which is a part of the Community Engaged Scholarship Institute located at the University of Guelph. We are currently starting a project with the Guelph chapter of the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) on the barriers that women face to participating in local politics in the Guelph-Wellington area. This project aims to provide information for CFUW that will assist the organization in creating a leadership training session and support group for women wishing to stand for municipal and provincial election in 2018; generating a list of resources for women candidates; and identifying possible policy changes that would help alleviate systemic barriers.

We would very much appreciate an interview with you to discuss the barriers, if any, that you faced in becoming a prominent political figure in the community. Your experience would prove invaluable to this project and your participation would be appreciated.

The Research Ethics Board at the University of Guelph has approved this project. I could not attach a formal Letter of Information here, but I would be happy to send one to you!

If you would be willing to set up a time for an interview please feel free to provide me with a list of days and times that would be most convenient for you. We are hoping to conduct interviews throughout October and November 2016.

If you have any further questions regarding the project, please feel free to contact me or the project managers, Karen Nelson ([email protected]) and Yuriko Cowper-Smith ([email protected]).

    Thank you for your attention,
